‘Best MVNA’ awarded to Transatel for the 4th year in a row at the MNVOs World Congress 2016

Transatel once again secures the title of Best MVNA at the 15th MVNOs World Congress taking place this year in Amsterdam from April 11-15. Transatel wins this award for the fourth consecutive year, confirming its global leadership as MVNA (Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator—Aggregator of MVNOs).

The ‘Best MVNA’ Award
Every year, the MNVOs World Congress gathers over 600 participants and 90 speakers from around the world to award the most innovative players in the mobile virtual network industry. The award is granted to the company which has added the most value to the MVNO market through quality of service and quantity of MVNOs launched. After its 2013, 2014 and 2015 wins, Transatel was once again nominated this year and won the Best MVNA Award.

Transatel launches the first global data MVNO under an MVNA model
The prize acknowledges the launch of the first worldwide data MVNO under an MVNA model, based on embedded cellular connectivity for tablets and laptops. Microsoft selected Transatel as the service provider for data within Windows 10, to be purchased via the Microsoft Store.
Strengthened by 15 years’ experience as an MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler), Transatel has enabled more than 150 MVNOs since its inception. The company has productized its solution to connect at minimum cost (under 10K€) and maximum speed and flexibility (under 6 weeks) a great diversity of players to the leading European mobile operators’ networks, such as EE, Orange and Salt. Today, Transatel manages over 1.7 million SIM cards.

Transatel—the one-stop shop for MVNOs
Transatel’s award winning technical infrastructure enables airtime procurement, full real-time prepaid billing, real-time CDR generation, and postpaid billing services.
Support services include a web portal to enable customer care at a fraction of the cost of bespoke CRM systems, and various APIs so that MVNOs with existing retail points of sale or websites can integrate provisioning/ topping-up of SIM cards via their existing tools. Last, to reduce complexity and cost for MVNO partners, Transatel is affiliated with several third parties such as international money transfer services (TransferTo), various payment gateways (MiPay), and top-up services (Epay/Paypoint/Payzone).

Jacques Bonifay, Transatel founder and CEO: “There’s no ‘getting used to’ winning the Best MVNA Award: it’s always a great source of satisfaction and energy for the future! In the current context of telecom consolidations, MVNOs are the lifeblood of the sector. They spearhead innovation, spur competition, and maintain downward pressure on prices to the benefit of the end-user. We’re proud to be enabling them, helping them get their business off the ground, generate new revenue streams, and conquer unchartered territory in connectivity, such as global cellular data.”
