Qualcomm announces the supported carriers for Windows on ARM 5G PCs

At this point, we’re not far off from Windows 10 PCs that support 5G connectivity. One of the first will be Lenovo’s Yoga 5G, which will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx 5G chipset. Today, Qualcomm announced which carriers it will support, including what will be supported by other Windows on ARM 5G PCs.

In North America, you’re limited to Verizon and Sprint. If you’re on AT&T or T-Mobile, it will act as a 4G LTE PC, unfortunately. Presumably, this dynamic will change in one way or another once the T-Mobile/Sprint merger goes through.

For Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, these are your carrier options for 5G:

  • EE
  • Swisscom
  • Telefonica
  • TIM
  • Transatel

Finally, you’ll have the following options in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand:

  • China Mobile
  • China Telecom
  • China Unicom
  • KDDI Corporation
  • Rakuten Mobile
  • KT
  • LGU+
  • SK Telecom
  • SoftBank Corp.
  • Telstra
