SMS usage with IoT Connect SIMs

 
SMS is one of the most basic functions in IoT connectivity. It’s the classic way of triggering a device remotely, while keeping it in low-power mode. You save energy by waking up the device only when you need to. 
 
It’s also a very simple way for the connected device to send basic telemetry, up to 140 bytes. For bigger volumes, you’ll need mobile data.  
 
Therefore, it’s quite natural for our IoT Connect SIMs to be able to send and receive SMS. 
Our basic offer includes outgoing and incoming SMS.
 
If you wish to implement Server to SIM SMS (SMS-MT via an SMPP interface), we can make this happen too.
