Revenue Assurance (RA) is a job which is specific to the Telecoms sector. Based at the Operational Headquarters, the purpose of the RA team is to detect revenue leakage and optimize costs. Focusing on data quality, the job this team carries out is essential to any Telecoms operator, and enables Transatel to optimize revenue and profits.
Working in close collaboration with the Invoicing department, the RA team audits and monitors data streams (Call Data Records) from both partner operators and internal sources, produces business and decision-making reports, and works with operational teams in order to detect where process improvements could be made. The development of Transatel as a major player in the IofT worldwide requires constant and faultless vigilance on the part of RA.
In what is a relatively transversal role, your responsibilities will be to:
- Inspect the invoices and billing system of our partner operators
- Set up monitoring and reporting tools
- Monitor CDR flows to avoid any loss of data
- Monitor traffic to detect “High Usage” and/or fraud
- Identify and prioritize fraud risks or bad business practices
- Come up with ideas for process improvement
You have a Masters degree from an engineering or business school (or equivalent), a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role in the field of revenue assurance or as a data analyst.
You fully master Microsoft Excel and you have a solid background in SQL.
You enjoy analyzing, modelling, and structuring complex problems, and you are comfortable formatting and presenting the data.
You are a good communicator, orally and in writing, in both English and French. You are conscientious and meticulous, you like working with figures and are a keen learner. Your sense of organization, your curiosity, and your capacity for analyzing and synthesizing data are important assets for this role.
Knowledge of the world of telecommunications would be a bonus.
