Ubigi eSIM service joins NTT Resonant’s loyalty program

Japanese ICT solution and service provider, NTT Resonant Inc. (NTT Group) and global MVNO Transatel (subsidiary of NTT Ltd.) are now partnering to promote Ubigi worldwide eSIM connectivity services for consumers in Japan. Starting today, NTT Resonant’s loyalty program members will now receive points when they use Ubigi cellular data services, in Japan and abroad. The earned points can be used for payment at participating stores and for various payments such as Internet shopping.

Launched by Transatel, Ubigi offers eSIM ready connectivity services in more than 190 destinations. With a broad range of prepaid mobile data plans at near-to-local rates, consumers and professionals can securely and cost effectively connect their smartphones, PCs, tablets, and even their cars to 3G/4G or 5G. Already chosen by Jaguar Land-Rover, Stellantis and Air France-KLM as well as device manufacturers, Ubigi services are also available to OEM’s, distributors, and resellers through its partnership program.

NTT Resonant had its genesis in the development team that pioneered Internet search in Japan. Building on its core business operating the internet portal site goo, NTT Resonant has developed various Internet services and has leveraged the company’s know-how and new technologies to provide solutions for enterprise customers.

We are very pleased to begin this strategic partnership with NTT Resonant Inc. which is a proof of the strong synergies between the different compagnies within the NTT Group, inside and outside of Japan. Transatel was one of the pioneers of eSIM (Embedded SIM) so we are excited to see the growing popularity of this technology. Consumers and enterprises understand the value and the convenience of global mobile data services and we look forward to help accelerating the eSIM adoption on the Japanese market with NTT Resonant Inc.” says Jacques Bonifay CEO and co-founder of Transatel who launched Ubigi in 2018.
