European MVNE Transatel has signed a master services agreement with car maker Jaguar Land Rover for the provision of global cellular connectivity enabling passenger applications and on-board wi-fi. The infotainment services covered by the agreement include internet browsing and navigation. Transatel said that the first equipped vehicles will become available in the market at the end of June, with data plans to be offered during the current year for Jaguar and Land Rover models sold in the UK, Italy, and Germany. The range of cars equipped with the service include the Jaguar XE SVR and the Range Rover Velar. Under the agreement, end-users will be able to purchase data bundles, manage their account, and access a multi-lingual self-care application on Transatel’s platform.
